Expected Behavior

All participants are expected to:

• Treat others with respect, courtesy, and professionalism
• Foster an atmosphere of constructive scientific exchange
• Be mindful of cultural differences and diverse perspectives
• Respect venue staff, conference volunteers, and local regulations
• Comply with instructions from the organizers regarding health, safety, and conduct

Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to:

• Harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or bullying in any form
• Offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, nationality, religion, or career status
• Unwelcome sexual attention or inappropriate physical contact
• Deliberate disruption of talks, discussions, poster sessions, or social events
• Abusive, threatening, or demeaning language, whether in person or in conference-related communications

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all conference activities, including technical sessions, poster sessions, breaks, meals, social events, and online or written communications related to the conference.

Reporting Concerns

If you experience or witness behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, please contact the conference organizers as soon as possible at:

Reports will be handled as promptly and confidentially as possible. The organizers will review the situation and determine appropriate action.

If needed, participants may also approach any member of the organizing committee in person during the conference.

Possible Responses

Organizers reserve the right to take any action deemed appropriate in response to violations of this Code of Conduct, including:

• Verbal or written warning
• Removal from a session or event
• Revocation of conference registration without refund
• Exclusion from future conference activities
• Notification of the participant’s institution or employer, where appropriate
